Philadelphia Water Resources Monitoring Program

The Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) and USGS have been working together to create and expand the water-quality monitoring network for Philadelphia. Data from these gaging stations will allow PWD scientists and engineers to monitor spatial and temporal water quality/quantity trends in support of watershed restoration initiatives occurring in Philadelphia. 

Long Island Sound Basin Data-Collection Locations

This interactive web application displays U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data-collection locations in the Long Island Sound watershed. Station types include water-quality sampling sites, streamgages, groundwater-level and tidal monitoring sites, and meteorological sites. The sites shown on this map were active data-collection locations from May 2022 to May 2023.

An online application that allows users to search and visualize Light Detection and Ranging (lidar) and its derived products. Users can find lidar, DEM, topobathymetric, and orthorectified radar image (ORI) data. The application uses Entwine Point Tile (EPT) format to help visualize projects in a web-based 3D viewer for quick views of the data. It also allows for cloud processing
