Flooding at the Cullyamurra Waterhole April 2025

Detailed Description

In April 2025, the Cullyamurra Waterhole, along the Cooper River in South Australia, reached a water level of 13.39 meters. This surpassed the 1974 record of 11.85 meters.

Landsat 8 and Landsat 9 both passed over the area and captured eye catching imagery. This animation shows the area from March 12th through April 21st.  These false color infrared images show how the water fills in this area of the Lake Eyre basin.
