Lake Ontario Mysis diluviana catch and length data, 2021-2022
May 13, 2025
This dataset contains Mysis count and length measurements from vertical whole-column net tows along a depth gradient in Lake Ontario and associated operation data. Sample dates occurred during August 2021 and June, July, and August 2022. Site depths ranged from 70 to 202 meters bottom depth. Sites were sampled using a paired day-night sampling approach. At each visit, the net was lowered to 2 meters from the bottom and raised to the surface. Two to three replicate tows were completed. These data can be used to estimate numeric density or biomass of Mysis, and are intended for use by fisheries managers, academia, researchers, and the public.
